    Bob, Your comment about the level of detail in development is correct. There are more elements defined in this area but, they are industry specific; CPG, Semi Conductors, Automotive... These activities do run in parallel and are typically governed by a phase / gate structure.

    The product lifecycle product flow development column seems to be lacking in detail compared to the planning column. Is this intentional since there are many flow charts for the development process, and your value chane focus in on wisely matching potential new products to market opportunities? I'm sure you will acknowledge that the process could have some steps done in parallel, or even a different order depending upon the original impetus, say a new tech -- dev conc bef invest a lot of pl
