PRESS RELEASE – March 7, 2007 Pittsburgh, PA Chief Model Architect Announced |

The Value Chain Group, Inc. is pleased to announce George W. Brown will be assuming the role of Chief Model Architect (CMA).
As CMA George will be active in technical development, model management and model change control. Model work may entail research initiatives, model validation projects, detailing requirements for methodology, technical discussion and creation of white papers.
The CMA will define model and methodology goals, approaches, and project opportunities to be carried out through collaboration within the membership and with partnering companies and synergistic associations.
“Considerable communication and collaboration including solicitation of new participants in the development and continued improvement of VCG frameworks are my top priorities,” said Mr. Brown.
Until recently, George had worked for Intel since 1994 as a Senior Program Manager within the IT Research. He collaborated with the senior management of Intel business units and application groups to define business strategy, architecture of business applications, and strategies for applying information technology to improve Intel competitiveness. In addition, he represented Intel in external research and benchmarking activities, and identifies opportunities to apply information technology in innovative ways to solve business problems and improve Intel business processes. Special focus was given to methods and tools to ensure Intel reached its goals in Supply Chain Management. George is the former Chairman of the Value Chain Group Board of Directors and was also Chairman of the Supply-Chain Council, Inc. during that organization’s peak.
